Stronger beginnings. Locally led. Read Our Approach

How we work

Resources should follow local priorities.

ADA USA begins with the knowledge and leadership of African organizations, professionals, public institutions, women, families, and communities. We then help align U.S. resources with the priorities they have defined.

Our partnership model

Listen and define. Local partners identify the issue, the people affected, the assets already present, and the change they want to achieve. Align support. ADA USA helps mobilize suitable funding, expertise, technology, networks, and visibility. Agree responsibilities. Partners establish decision rights, budgets, safeguards, learning questions, and accountability expectations. Act and adapt. Locally led teams implement, gather feedback, monitor progress, and adjust to evidence and context.

What U.S. partnership can contribute

Flexible and catalytic philanthropy; technical and professional expertise requested by local partners; research, learning, and implementation support; technology and operational capabilities suited to local conditions; introductions, advocacy, and visibility; and long-term relationships rather than one-time transactions.

How local implementation relationships begin

ADA USA identifies local implementation relationships through approved initiatives, targeted outreach, established country relationships, or a public opportunity. We do not operate a rolling unsolicited grant process. When an application or expression-of-interest opportunity is open, eligibility, scope, geography, and submission instructions will be published on this website or shared directly with eligible organizations.

Stronger beginnings start with aligned action.

Put your resources, expertise, or partnership behind locally led African priorities for women and young children.
